Dr. Ampofo is a McGill University PhD-trained Food Scientist with expertise in nutrition-sensitive food processing, functional food product development, food ingredient biochemistry, and scientific writing. She bridges food science with everyday health and nutritional needs — without hype, fads, and misinformation.
As a passionate food scientist, Dr. Ampofo has won grants across Canada and U.S. to develop nutrition-sensitive food processing technologies and climate-smart food products intended for sustainable nutrition. With years of experience across academia, research, product development, and consulting, she is committed to empowering consumers and food brands with transparent, science-backed nutrition.

As the CEO and Founder of DR. AMPOFO™ Functional Foods, she has led the successful formulation and marketing of 9 carefully developed healthy food products. Every blend, every formulation, and every product is grounded in scientific literature and crafted to support nutrient absorption, physiological function, and whole-body wellness.
As a consultant, she also works with food brands, startups, and organizations to support product formulation, non-thermal food processing, regulatory guidance, grant writing, project planning and scientific communication.
